We Know Exactly Who You Are: The 8 Types of Women Golfers

Three women golfers together on the course, the types of women golfers every group has

Every women's golf group has the same eight people in it. Different names. Different courses. Same cast.

We didn't make them up. We just noticed. Then we named them, because once you've seen them you can't unsee them.

None of them is the best golfer. All of them are necessary. A foursome missing any one of them is a quieter afternoon.

The Cart Girl.

Next round's on me. Knows the beverage cart's route better than the course. Golf is the excuse. She's the reason everyone stays for the 19th.

The Rules Girl.

That's a penalty. Read the handbook. Twice. Knows the handicap system and every drop rule. Somehow still the most fun person in the cart.

The Cheerleader.

That was so good. Clapped for your worst shot. Loses count of her own strokes every hole because she was busy watching yours.

The Social Chair.

Already made the reservation. Booked the tee time, picked the restaurant, made the playlist, sent three reminder texts. The group chat exists because of her.

The Chaos Coordinator.

Wrong club. Best day. Shows up late. Loses her ball on the straightest fairway on the course. Has never had a good round on paper, and has never had a bad day.

The Try-Hard.

Counted that. Took lessons. Equipment is spotless. Has two handicap apps and swears she's only playing for fun.

The Beginner.

Still talking about Hole 4. First season. Already obsessed. Owns more golf outfits than golf balls.

The Gossip.

Don't repeat this. Best material comes out on Holes 4 through 7. Fully exhausted by the back nine. So is everyone else, from laughing.

Nobody in the group is the best golfer. Everybody in the group is the best at something.
01.

Yes, you can be two. Most of us are a main type with a strong second. A Cheerleader with Cart Girl tendencies. A Rules Girl who is secretly a Try-Hard.

02.

Yes, it changes. The Beginner doesn't stay the Beginner. She just keeps talking about Hole 4.

03.

No, your friends are not wrong about you. They're never wrong about you.

We're not keeping score. We know exactly who you are.

The Nineteenth Society

P.S. Take the quiz. You get your type and a playlist built for exactly how you play. Then send it to the group chat and watch everyone argue.

P.P.S. All eight end up in the same place eventually. Here are the rules once they get there.
