If you're reading this, it means we built it. And if you're still reading by paragraph three, it means you might actually be one of us.
This is From the Desk. The place where we say the things that don't fit on a product page. The opinions, the field notes, the dispatches. The column from the corner table. The things we noticed when the ranger drove past.
We made it because the old golf magazines aren't writing for her. They're rating green speed when she wants to know if the bathroom on Hole 4 has a counter. They're profiling pro shop directors when she wants to know if the cart girl is thriving. They're posting outfit guides shot in November in Connecticut and calling it women's golf style.
We're going to do this differently. Not because we're correcting anyone.
It's a publication, not a feed. Columns that come back, on a rhythm. We write it ourselves. We don't run AI listicles. If we don't have something to say in a given week, we don't post.
It's for her, specifically. The one with the wrong club and the right group chat. The one who showed up late because she stopped for coffee. The one who's somehow the Cheerleader AND the Gossip depending on the week.
What's coming
House Rules.
Monthly. Where we make our positions official. Dress codes, pace of play, gimmes, the silence rule.
Field Notes.
Short reads. Two hundred words from a round, a league night, a tournament, a community event.
The Pour.
Monthly. A drink, a glass, a persona who'd order it. Match yours.
What's in Her Bag.
Monthly. A real member. A real bag. The clubs are the boring part.
One last thing. If you're still here, you already know we're not the club behind the club because we're better organized. We're the club behind the club because the actual club wasn't going to let us host it the way we wanted to.
So we built our own.

P.S. If you haven't taken the quiz yet, that's where this starts. The next three months of From the Desk are going to make a lot more sense once you know which one of us you are.
P.P.S. This whole thing was built to be forwarded. If one specific person came to mind while you were reading, send it to her. We'll know.
